Procurement Specialist – Automation & Advanced Manufacturing

Hybrid Working

Complex Projects, Real Impact

This isn’t purchasing by numbers. It’s strategic sourcing inside a cutting-edge automation consultancy where every component matters, because we build machines that make life-saving treatments, precision devices, and world-first innovations (yes, even 3D-printed chocolate).

You’ll help shape supply chains that are smart, ethical, and built to scale, working alongside engineers, project managers, and suppliers to keep quality high, costs sharp, and lead times lean.

The Role

As Procurement Specialist, you’ll lead the sourcing and negotiation of key materials, components, and services — across complex machine builds with high-spec technical requirements. This role is strategic but also hands-on. You’ll be owning supplier relationships, improving processes, and delivering real value to the business. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to build a supply chain that can flex with growing customer demand.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Sourcing goods and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Developing relationships with high-quality, reliable suppliers
  • Managing contracts, negotiations, and commercial terms
  • Assessing supplier performance and identifying improvement areas
  • Supporting machine build timelines with smart procurement planning
  • Exploring new suppliers and alternative sources of supply
  • Resolving price, delivery, and quality issues with a professional, proactive approach
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across the supply chain

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in strategic procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support project timelines
  • Supplier management and contract negotiation experience
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Analytical and detail-focused with problem-solving ability
  • Technical knowledge of components and manufacturing processes
  • Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP systems knowledge
  • A degree or NVQ Level 5 in a relevant subject preferred
  • MCIPS (or working towards) would be a bonus

Why Join?

  • Be part of an employee-owned business with real influence and a shared mission
  • Work on machines that support medical breakthroughs and high-performance production
  • Collaborate with world-class engineers and project teams
  • Modern Warwick HQ - flexible working options
  • A positive, proactive, innovation-first culture
