About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Group Packaging Development Manager to lead packaging innovation across three sites in the Kent area. You will drive compliant, efficient, and sustainable packaging solutions, ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement a group packaging strategy that supports market-leading innovation and sustainability.
- Ensure alignment with evolving UK packaging legislation, waste management infrastructure, and customer needs.
- Develop strategic relationships with packaging suppliers and waste management handlers to implement viable packaging solutions.
- Manage the full packaging development process, from initial briefs to production trials and successful launches.
- Ensure all packaging materials and suppliers meet food safety, ethical, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Track and report the impact of packaging innovations on cost, recyclability, and carbon footprint.
- Identify and deliver improvements to packaging efficiency and site recyclability across all packaging formats.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in food packaging development.
- Proven track record of delivering packaging innovation to market.
