-Do you have specification field sales experience with any of the following; Interior designers, architects, M&E consultants or End users? If so, we're recruiting for an ambitious, design led decorative lighting manufacturer/supplier that focus on the Hotel, hospitality and leisure sectors.

– THE ROLE;

  • Business Development Manager/ Specification sales executive, you'll be selling their standard and bespoke decorative lighting products that include architectural lighting, spot lights, pendant lighting, bathroom lighting, ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps, wall lights.
  • This is a growth move, with the successful candidate being our clients first dedicated London and the South East BDM, so it'll be very new business focussed, developing relationships with interior designers, architects and specifiers, Mechanical and Electrical consultants and End users.
  • As Business Development Manager/ Specification Sales Manager, you'll be working on projects from independent hotels, through to major hotel brands, care homes, the restaurant and leisure sector, University accommodation, cruise ship manufacturers etc.
  • As Specification sales executive / BDM, you'll be covering London and the South East, effectively in a line from The Wash to Southampton.
  • Projects typically range in value from £5k- £150k+ & your year 1 target will be circa £400k in new projects.
  • Our client has a good lead system and database of interior designers, architects, M&E consultants and End users although your existing contacts/relationships will be hugely beneficial.

– THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

  • The successful Area Sales Manager will have specification sales experience, ideally with a design led interior product and lighting knowledge would be advantageous although not essential.
  • Project led specification sales experience in the hotel, hospitality or leisure sector would be great.
  • You will have excellent account management skills, be organised, consultative and a strong relationship builder, also capable of new business development.
  • You will be happy covering a large territory & have good IT skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be located in London, or the Home Counties.
  • Our client will also consider a less experienced candidate with the personality traits that they need, such as a consultative, professional approach and a desire to sell a design led solution, with a new business, networking appetite.

– THE COMPANY;

  • Our client is a well established, highly respected SME that work in the design, specification, manufacture and supply of decorative lighting solutions across the contract market.

– THE REMUNERATION;

  • £45,000- £50,000 Basic salary, dependent on experience.
  • Quarterly commission, giving a Year 1 ote of £70K- £75K. This is uncapped with the highest sales person hitting £93K earnings.
  • Car allowance of £500 per month.
  • 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Employee benefit perks, including 1 Volunteer day per annum.
  • 4.75% company pension contribution.
