We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for a haulage delivery role based in Tilbury. The position involves delivering timber to various locations across the South East of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for live loads, securing cargo with straps, and ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a LGV1 vehicle to deliver timber to customers within the South East of England.
  • Perform live loading and unloading duties at various sites.
  • Strap and secure loads according to safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an LGV1 including strapping and live loading.
  • A valid LGV1 driving license.
  • A valid CPC and Tacho card.
  • Must be comfortable with early start times (between 5-6am).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in relation to loading/unloading timber.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Rates of pay: £18.50-£20.73 per hour

We cannot accept your application if you have any of the following endorsements on your Drivers Licences: CU80, DD, DR, IN10, TT99, CD10 and any major endorsements. All candidates must provide a CV and a comprehensive 5 years working history without gaps that can't be explained and proven. References will need to be provided from previous employers.
