A leading global tech company is looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join its RegTech team for a 6-month contract. You’ll be working at the cutting edge of regulatory technology, developing solutions that ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support key financial operations across the business.

The RegTech department is responsible for building secure, scalable platforms that enable real-time sanctions screening, customer monitoring, and regulatory reporting – all while keeping partner and customer experience top of mind.

  • Develop next-generation scalable, flexible, high-performance systems
  • Own and enhance microservices powering risk identification and compliance tooling
  • Design and improve screening/monitoring systems for customer and partner data
  • Drive engineering best practices, system performance, and service reliability

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend focus
  • Proficiency in Java (required) and at least one other server-side language
  • Familiarity with data technologies like MySQL, Hadoop, or Cassandra
  • Experience working with AWS services (RDS, EC2, Step Functions, Kinesis) is a plus
  • Strong background in testing, KPIs/SLOs, and performance optimization
  • Prior exposure to compliance, fintech, or risk-based systems is a bonus
  • Solve real-world problems with direct impact on compliance and risk reduction
