Immediate Start Contract Position 6am - 4.30pm, 12 month contract which may lead to a full time position.
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver - general labourer to join the automation engineering division, supporting the regional workshop in Castle Bromwich, B24 9QG.
DutiesAs an experienced driver - general labourer you will be assisting with the manufacture and distribution of specialist automated conveyor systems, working from the company's engineering workshop in Castle Bromwich. Primary responsibility will be to deliver assemblies, components, parts and consumables to various sites across the Midlands, with occasional deliveries to Southampton, Bristol, Luton or Manchester. Other duties will include assisting with the workshop stores by unloading and safely storing high value parts and components before distributing to the point of installation within the workshop. In addition, you will be required to assist fitters with assembly and installation works along with general labouring duties as instructed by the workshop manager. This is NOT a target orientated, multi-drop driving role.
About YouBased ideally in Birmingham, you will need to live within a short commutable distance of B24 9QG. Demonstrable experience of working within a similar delivery driver role is essential for this position. Full clean UK driving licence (minimum 3 points) RTITB up to 5 tonne counter balance licence or similar would be a huge advantage.
