Take your next step as the Production Manager for a well-established ingredients manufacturer. With backing from a wider global group, the team are on the cusp of rolling out site wide transformation, making it the perfect time for you to join.

You won’t just be maintaining output as the Production Manager, you’ll be part of the transformation. With your knowledge and leadership, you will be rebuilding the culture and instilling a mindset of continuous improvement and performance focus.

You’ll lead a team of long-serving shift supervisors and play a key role in developing structure, coaching behaviours and enhancing performance within the team, which in turn, would see you have a significant impact on the site.

You’ll have a high level of autonomy while also getting to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure production runs efficiently and consistently, with an engaged approach to team management.

Being part of a small, dedicated team comes with its unique challenges, but you’ll also benefit from being part of a much larger international group, offering opportunities for long-term career growth and development.

The business is longstanding within the heart of the community and has been operational for around 150 years! Despite not supplying directly to the shelves of your favourite retailer, they supply some of the biggest names in the food sector and are in several of your household brands.

The location of the site is idyllically nestled away overlooking the River Stour estuary, don’t let it fool you! The site has fantastic train line connections, being able to step off the train into site and is a little over an hour from London.

What You’ll Need

  • You’ll bring proven experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment, with responsibility for a team of supervisors or managers.
  • You’ll be confident managing performance and coaching supervisors, and you’ll understand the realities of working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong operational oversight, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to lead from the front will be essential in order to deliver the transformation required.
