🚨 NEW OPPORTUNITY: Clinical Researcher – Psycho-Pharmacomicrobiomics 🚨

We’re excited to announce a 12-month Clinical Researcher post (renewable) in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. The post-holder will join a Wellcome-funded programme of research that aims at investigating whether and how the gut microbiome influences psychiatric medication efficacy and side-effects. This is a unique chance to dive into translational psychiatry in a world-class environment.

🔍 About the Role:

• Coordinate patient data and biosample collection (Oxford & collaborating sites across the UK, Europe & Australia – travel encouraged!)

• Contribute to cutting-edge analyses (in vitro assays, germ-free mouse models, large-scale clinical databases)

• Collaborate with psychopharmacology services in Oxford, London, Liverpool & Cambridge

• Author high-impact publications and develop your own research agenda (mentorship toward DPhil/Fellowship applications)

👤 Who We’re Looking For:

• Clinician registered with GMC, having completed UK Foundation Training

• Passionate about neuropsychiatric research and pursuing a clinical academic career

• Experience in patient recruitment, biosample handling, and excellent communication skills

• Bonus: multi-site research experience, psychopharmacology/data analysis background
