Community Integrated Care is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth and we are looking to appoint an experienced, Communications Specialist with a focus on colleague engagement to join our Communications Team on a full time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ideally be based anywhere in the North West but must be available to travel to our head office in Widnes at least once a week.

The role will be pivotal in helping to deliver a consistent employee experience across the charity, creating an engaged, galvanised and valued workforce, passionate about delivering the Best Lives Possible for the people we support. It will also support our workforce to feel a strong sense of empowerment, purpose and appreciation, so that our charity can attract, retain and nurture the best talent in our sector, through a number of initiatives touching all levels of the employee life cycle.

Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description)

  • Support the delivery of our charity’s annual Colleague Engagement Survey – working closely with the Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Manager on the design, communications planning, launch and execution of the survey.
  • Day-to-day oversight, support and promotion of Community Integrated Care’s Colleague Forum, GameChangers
  • Close working with our Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist on the development, communication and delivery of EDI and Wellbeing initiatives, including our Colleague Inclusion Networks
  • Support the charity’s People Team with effective communication plans and campaigns to support projects and initiatives to improve colleague experience.
  • Work closely alongside Employee Relations team to manage and report on responses to external colleague reviews (e.g. Indeed, Glassdoor).
  • Communication, delivery and continuous improvement of Community Integrated Care’s reward and recognition schemes (including our long service programme) and other colleague experience initiatives.
  • Support with organisational events and celebrations, e.g. roadshows and awards
  • Develop and maintain a KPI dashboard for engagement communications, activity and campaigns

Our ideal Candidate

Skills and Experience

  • Professional or higher qualification in relevant field (Desirable)
  • IoIC / CIPR/ CIPD qualification and/or membership (Desirable)
  • Colleague engagement and communications experience in a large and complex organisation
  • Experience of planning, managing and communicating engagement initiatives from end-to-end
