Our client is a well-established developer of specialist electronic equipment. They are seeking an Electronic Hardware Engineer to join their team.
The Role
- Technical authority for hardware aspects of the product e.g. Design verification, formal qualification etc.
- Consider cost, size, DFM etc.
- Drive innovation and process development within own scope of responsibility.
- As part of a multi-disciplinary team, contribute to the design and verification of new components, products and systems.
- When required, support root cause analysis on issues with existing products.
- Support Sales team with technical proposals.
- Contribute to peer review processes within the team.
- Provide technical mentorship to other engineers.
The Candidate
- Electronic engineering qualifications – ideally degree.
- Proven skills in hardware design with a PCB or electronic design bias.
- Experience of using a PCB CAD package e.g. Eagle, OrCAD, Altium.
- Ideally, practical experience in designing electronic assemblies to meet EMC requirements.
- Experience of supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
- Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
