The Role

Due to continued growth, our client is hiring their first in-house Finance Manager to take ownership of financial reporting across the group. Youll lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and oversee the full month-end close process. Managing one Accounts Assistant, you will ensure the day-to-day finance operations run smoothly while delivering meaningful insight to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts

• Lead budgeting and forecasting across the group

• Manage and develop an Accounts Assistant responsible for AP, credit control, and payroll

• Oversee VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and other statutory submissions

• Liaise with external auditors and support year-end reporting

• Monitor and improve internal controls and financial processes

• Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision-making

What We\’re Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or QBE)

• Experience producing management accounts in an SME environment

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function

• Ideally, experience with Xero (or similar accounting software)

• Previous experience managing or mentoring junior staff is a plus
