We are currently partnered with an industry leading semiconductor company in the UK looking to expand their team with a Senior Principal System Architect to take a leading role in the development of cutting edge SoC solutions for next-generation mobile and compute devices. This position is a high-impact and strategic position interacting with a globally distributed team.
This is a permanent role, offering hybrid working (2-3 days onsite per week), based out of Cambridge UK. Full relocation, and visa sponsorship (when required), are available with this position.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Principal System Architect position:
- Develop and refine technology roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and product planning teams.
- Define comprehensive platform architectures encompassing hardware, software, and tools.
- Collaborate across architecture and core technology teams to align platform and feature development with SoC requirements.
- Evaluate architectural proposals and IP features, providing leadership to align hardware, software, and platform groups.
- Represent the company in customer meetings, incorporating feedback into architectural decisions.
- Create high-level architecture specifications to guide engineering teams.
- Design experiments and analyses to address architectural questions using appropriate tools and methods.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively across diverse audiences.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in smartphone/tablet SoC architecture or related work experience.
- Deep technical background and credibility in system architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to drive progress in ambiguous environments.
- Collaborative and influential across organizations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MS or PhD highly desired.
