My client, a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across the UK, is expanding their Nottingham office and looking for a Principal Geo-environmental Engineer or Associate to head up their local geo team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a key leadership position where you will not only manage a diverse workload but also play a pivotal part in developing the team and driving the business forward.
The Role: Based in the vibrant Lace Market area of Nottingham, you will:
- Lead and manage a small but growing geo team within a collaborative office alongside civil, structural and transport professionals.
- Oversee a range of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects across private and public sectors, from pre-planning through to construction.
- Manage ground investigations, design remediation strategies, and oversee earthworks and validation works.
- Mentor and support junior staff, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Contribute to business development efforts, working closely with the regional director and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to provide integrated engineering solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree qualified in a relevant earth science or engineering discipline.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered/Qualified Person (QP) status.
- Strong technical skills, including use of software such as MS Project, Openground, Surfer, and ideally CAD/GIS.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
