We are now seeking an experienced and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our commercial team and lead strategic account relationships across a portfolio of key clients across the UK&I.
Role Overview
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with our most important clients. You will act as the main point of contact, driving business development, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, understanding of large product portfolios/services and applications, and the ability to build long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of high-value multiple site accounts across the UK and Ireland
- Develop strategic account plans to drive growth and retention
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Collaborate with technical and product teams to meet customer requirements
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Attend industry events, client meetings, and trade shows
Requirements
- Proven experience in key/corporate account management or sales within the chemical industry (5+ years preferred)
- Degree in Chemistry or related science or business related discipline
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to manage complex accounts
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as needed
