The Role
As a System/Reliability Engineer, you'll work at the forefront of new technologies, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position spans quality assurance, reliability testing, and failure analysis, providing opportunities to develop solutions that enhance product performance and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reliability testing and analysis to predict product lifespan and performance
- Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential issues and improve designs
- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO)
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and enhance product reliability
- Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and design teams to debug and improve products
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to quality and reliability
- Create predictive models for reliability risk assessment
- Conduct supplier audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems when required
- Provide training and support to teams on reliability and quality standards
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics
- Industry experience within Engineering
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to engage effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated competence in fault-finding complex integration systems and subsystems
- Availability to travel to manufacturing sites when required
- Experience with software test development (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
- Hardware testing and debugging experience
- Understanding of assembly and test methods and their interactions with components, processes, software and product quality
- Experience in requirements verification, certification, test design, and process development
- Candidates with experience from the Telecommunications or Automotive industry would be desired but not essential.
- Experience/Awareness of Jedec (MIL-SPEC810) and Telecordia (GR-63 and/or GR-1089) standards.
