Are you a highly skilled structures specialist with a background in aerospace or mechanical engineering? As a Senior Structures Engineer, you’ll play a key role within the engineering team, contributing to the structural integrity of complex products across their full lifecycle.
Working closely with the Chief Engineer of Structures, you’ll be responsible for FE modelling, stress analysis, certification documentation and structural approvals, ensuring all deliverables meet rigorous regulatory and quality standards. As a Senior Structures Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating finite element models and compiling associated stress documentation
- Designing and analysing structural components to ensure compliance with requirements
- Producing and supporting certification documentation for type approvals
- Reviewing and approving structural drawing packages
- Reporting on project progress and structural tasks to the Chief Engineer
- Ensuring all work aligns with internal processes and external airworthiness standards
As a Senior Structures Engineer, your skills and experience will include:
- Proven experience with FE modelling and hand stressing techniques
- Familiarity with EASA and FAA airworthiness standards
- Proficiency in FEMAP (or similar) and CATIA V5
- Excellent communication and reporting skills across multiple stakeholders
- An engineering degree, HND, or equivalent in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 8 years’ engineering experience, with at least 4 years in aerospace or manufacturing environments
