Contract ServiceNow CMDB Analyst

Remote (UK), £500 per day, Initial 3-month contract

We’re supporting a leading organisation in the insurance sector with a project to enhance their CMDB maturity and service visibility across hybrid environments. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring proven experience with ServiceNow’s Service Mapping module, specifically top-down service mapping from business services through to underlying infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering top-down Service Mapping using ServiceNow’s Service Mapping module
• Mapping application and business services end-to-end across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem environments
• Tuning patterns and MID Servers to support Discovery and dependency resolution
• Aligning data to CSDM v4.0 and improving CMDB health
• Working closely with technical teams to validate maps and CI relationships
• Supporting technical workshops and feeding into CMDB governance

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience with top-down service mapping using ServiceNow
• Solid understanding of Discovery, CMDB population and pattern-based mapping
• Familiarity with traffic-based discovery, MID Server deployment and custom pattern tuning
• Strong knowledge of CSDM, CI relationships and reconciliation
• Background working in large enterprise environments with complex estates
