CPS Group are working with a well-established client in Bridgend who have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their company. Offices based in Bridgend, onsite 3-4 days per week. The role will be heavily involved in test delivery, collaboration as well as hands-on testing and test automation. The Senior Quality Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Acting as a champion of quality, this role will continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and testing techniques. This is a hands-on, techno-functional position that requires strong experience in Agile test delivery to guide, oversee, and execute testing activities within a product team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end testing efforts across the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide offshore testing teams to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of test cases, as well as automation and defect management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Agile testing practices.
Skills / Experience:
- Background within a similar Quality Engineering role, ideally to a Senior level already.
- Strong background of working within Scrum Teams.
- Exposure to test automation tools (Katalon or Selenium ideally), Java, DevOps Pipeline / CI/CD, Azure Test plans would be an advantage too.
- High level of communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
