SCCM Build Specialist

Robert Half Technology are assisting a prestigious market leading financial services organisation to recruit a SCCM Build Specialist on a contract basis – London based – start ASAP

Role

• The SCCM Build Specialist will lead the build process for Windows 11 desktop images.
• Harden Windows 11 endpoints in line with security best practices.
• Automate build and deployment processes using SCCM.
• Package and deploy applications using SCCM.
• Configure and enforce policies using Group Policy.
• Work alongside infrastructure and support teams to ensure build consistency and performance.
• Maintain documentation of build procedures and deployment workflows.
• Support power configuration and custom application packaging requirements.

Profile

• The SCCM Build Specialist will have proven experience building and hardening Windows desktop environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SCCM (build automation, application packaging, deployment).
• Deep understanding of Group Policy, Windows security, and desktop hardening best practices.
• Experience automating builds and streamlining deployment workflows.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the desktop build function.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft InTune and cloud-based deployments.
• Familiarity with hybrid or cloud-managed environments (though current environment is on-prem).
• Scripting (PowerShell) to support automation and packaging.
