Accountant Duties - What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Handling VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and HMRC submissions
- Managing payroll and associated reporting
- Offering practical, strategic advice to clients
- Using Xero to keep accurate financial records
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and compliance
What We’re Looking For in Our Accountant Role:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience)
- 3+ years accounting experience (either in practice or industry)
- Xero experience or certification is ideal
- Strong understanding of UK tax and accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Someone proactive, curious, and always ready to help
