Reliability Manager

Our client is a well known and established manufacturing company who has recently been acquired by a large organisation who are now investing heavily in the portfolio, site, people and assets. Part of their structure of the future includes a Reliability Manager to maintain continuous production by improving equipment reliability, to support the implementation of engineering and reliability best practice, to develop reliability techniques and tools to support the delivery of the engineering improvement plans and to be an ambassador of their company values.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is a foremost priority and that safe working practices are always adhered to.
  • Coach and develop the reliability techs and planner to ensure continual department improvement.
  • Set and measure direct report objectives to ensure development and KPI delivery.
  • Ensures all maintenance techniques are followed on production equipment by scheduling maintenance and inspections
  • Ownership of the CMMS system and ensure effective use of resource to deliver 100% compliance to scheduled PPM.
  • Support the delivery of the engineering budget.
  • Ensuring proper “root cause analysis” to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence of downtime incidents.
  • Assisting in the specification and installation of new equipment for the site
  • Contributing to and assisting in the implementation of improvement plans agreed with Engineering Manager

We are ideally looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in leading an engineering team, ideally within a FMCG environment to improve overall site performance.
  • Use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Confident communicator at all levels
  • Good working knowledge of PdM Techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of both planning and scheduling processes
  • Competency in using a CMMS
