The Role
- Eliciting detailed requirements by conducting interviews, workshops and other techniques that are appropriate to each specific situation.
- Proficient in scoping and recommending appropriate business analysis approaches.
- Facilitating workshops to understand the business/project goals and requirements in detail.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and help establish a single source of truth.
- Extract and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Responsible for developing requirements documentation.
- May be responsible for system configuration based on requirements.
- Responsible for creating test plans and helping to test system changes and enhancements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Ownership and responsibility for allocated communication project stream.
- Perform activities such as gap analysis, impact analysis, estimation, documenting 'as is' and 'to be' process documentation and improvements.
- Assisting management in clearly understanding the problem statement, underlying tasks, and the business requirements to ensure accurate estimates are produced for planning purposes.
- Investigating, developing, and continually enhancing the business analysis approach, including standards and tools.
The Requirements
- 5 yearsβ experience in a business analyst role, ideally in finance/billing systems.
- Ability to multi-task and manage several projects and tasks all at once.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Enjoys problem-solving, analytical & numerical analysis.
- Experience with relational databases & Excel.
- Experience with test plan creation, testing procedures and test plan execution.
- Proven experience in the ability to analyse, interpret and present complex information.
- Experience conducting workshops for requirements gathering/process mapping and soliciting solution feedback, including working with business stakeholders and technical experts.
- Expert in process design and process maps.
- Strong problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Must be able to work within an ambiguous environment and expected to be a self-starter and can work without supervision.
- Inquisitive, open mind and a drive to challenge the status quo where required.
