Programme Manager – Banking / Microservices / Migration

Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to London)

Salary: Up to £140,000

Overview:

We're looking for a hands-on Programme Manager with strong experience in banking, microservices architecture, and complex technology migrations. You’ll lead strategic, high-value initiatives, manage large budgets, and drive delivery across cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements:

• Financial services/banking experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and middleware migrations.
• Proven track record in managing complex migrations – sleeves-up and delivery focused.
• Experience with multi-£M budgets, delivery estimation, and executive reporting.
• Comfortable operating at CXO, architecture, and engineering levels.
• Background in consulting or SI delivery with solid SOW/commercial management.
• Strong leadership of cross-functional teams (~30 people).
• Programme recovery experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and recover large-scale tech programmes in banking.
• Manage scope, schedule, risks, and budgets.
• Collaborate across engineering, architecture, and executive teams.
• Deliver programme updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment to strategy while maintaining delivery focus.
