Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives and supporting safer communities? RSR is recruiting on behalf of the Probation Service for a dedicated Approved Premises Worker to join a dynamic team in Bristol. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents at an Approved Premises (AP) - helping individuals on probation reintegrate into the community, while ensuring compliance with licence conditions and AP rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively supervise and engage with residents to promote positive behaviour and ensure safety.
- Carry out regular inspections of the premises, including grounds and cellars; monitor CCTV and record any incidents or defects.
- Ensure the building is secure during curfew hours and confirm the presence and well-being of residents overnight.
- Support residents by facilitating purposeful activities and supervising meals and medication procedures.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviour and escalate concerns to the standby manager when necessary.
- Conduct alcohol and drug testing as required, and administer First Aid if needed.
- Complete accurate records, incident reports, and contribute to safeguarding responsibilities.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals or in a secure setting is desirable.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.

- You must be flexible to work various shifts. The hostel is a 24 hour hostel so the right candidate will be available for any of the 7 days per week, including night shifts.
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We can support you with this if you haven't got one.
