Newman Stewart are currently working on behalf of a Yorkshire-based client to source an outstanding candidate to step into the role of Channel Manager covering Southern Europe.

With over 100 years of history in the market, this family owned and operated business produces a range of oils and lubricants for a wide variety of industries including food manufacturing and maritime.

From their office and manufacturing plant in Leeds, they serve a global market and are committed to their strong company values and core behaviours. Renowned for developing people, the vast majority of employees stay within the business once they have joined.

The role:

The Channel Manager for Southern Europe will be tasked with increasing market share across the the region. This will be achieved through managing multiple sales channels, end users, agents and distributors to increase sales volume and profit according to an agreed sales strategy.

This will include:

  • Understanding current route to market and building relationship with existing partners
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of new business to track and develop opportunities
  • Working with internal stakeholders including marketing and technical teams to promote new products and services
  • Negotiating the best achievable commercial agreements for product sales to achieve maximum profitability

Your profile:

  • Experience of working nationally and an understanding of the complexities of business development in new regions
  • Strategic innovator, highly commercial and analytical drive
  • Highly developed business networking and development skills with evidence in support
  • Proven track record of new business development
  • Knowledge of European languages would be an advantage
