Your Newest Challenge – Civil/Highways Contractor We are working with a fast growing and ambitious Civils Contractor with projects cropping up across the South and a healthy project pipeline that stretches well beyond the next couple of years. They’re a close client of ours and they’re looking for an AQS with the ambition to progress their career further to join the team, primarily supporting the Senior QS on heavy civils projects. They have a brilliant record for employee retention as well as offering a fast-track route to QS-SQS- MQS roles in the future! Your Day to Day Provide general assistance to Senior Quantity Surveyors Assist with preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation .On-site measurement and measurement of drawings as required Assist with identifying potential risks and evaluate options for control On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work Feasibility studies of clients requests Assist with preparation of estimates and analysing sub-contractors quotations Assist with preparation and agreeing variation accounts Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors Skills Required It is paramount that you possess a minimum of 18 months experience working in a civil engineering environment and undertaking the commercial function for active contracts. Must have some working knowledge of NEC forms.
