As our new Deputy Fashion Editor, you'll dive headfirst into the exciting world of women's lifestyle fashion. Your days will be a mix of hands-on content creation, from compiling compelling features to writing engaging copy for print. You'll be a vital support and report to the Group Fashion Director and Fashion Editor, streamlining our editorial processes and ensuring we hit all our deadlines with impeccably styled content. You'll spend time researching the latest trends, connecting with PRs, and identifying emerging trends to keep our brands fresh and relevant.
Beyond your desk, you'll have the exciting opportunity to attend exclusive press events, acting as a key ambassador for Future Publishing. These events are fantastic for networking and sourcing cutting-edge trends and imagery that will inspire your next piece.
You'll work closely with Editors and Art Directors within the Hub, ensuring our content is visually stunning. You'll also have touchpoints with wider teams across Future Publishing, including our Digital Content teams and Commercial Partnerships, giving you a broad understanding of how your work contributes to our overall success.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:
- Proven experience as a Fashion Editor, Deputy Fashion Editor, or Senior Fashion Writer within a magazine, newspaper, or leading digital publication, specifically within the women's lifestyle sector.
- An understanding of fashion trends, designers, and the wider industry landscape, with an ability to identify new styles and talent.
- Experience in sourcing and/or directing fashion shoots, including working with photographers, stylists, and models.
- Demonstrable proficiency in crafting high-quality, engaging print content.
- Understanding of the workflow involved in producing magazine content, including managing deadlines.
