A leading FMCG business is seeking a commercially driven Senior National Account Manager – Grocery to take ownership of key grocery retail partnerships. This is a high-impact role, ideal for a strategic account leader with a strong background in managing top-tier grocery customers and delivering exceptional commercial performance. The role is hybrid in nature, with 3 days per week working on-site in NW London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic management of major grocery accounts, driving sales, profit, and long-term brand growth.
- Develop and nurture high-level relationships with key retail partners through collaborative Joint Business Planning (JBP).
- Negotiate effective commercial agreements that maximise product visibility, optimise range, and drive healthy margins.
- Create and implement a roadmap to secure new business opportunities with prospective customers.
- Act as a category expert, using shopper, category, and consumer data to influence and guide retail strategies.
- Fully own the P&L, ensuring delivery of commercial targets and contributing to long-term business planning.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, technical, and marketing teams to ensure availability, efficient product launches, and impactful trade marketing campaigns.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the FMCG industry, with a proven track record as a National Account Manager or Senior NAM.
- Strong experience working with the UK’s top 4 grocery retailers.
- Highly commercial and financially astute, with a strategic mindset and a data-driven approach.
- Skilled in presenting, influencing, and building strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a passion for identifying and executing growth opportunities.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
