CAD Engineer

Based in Sheffield, this is an opportunity for a CAD PDK Engineer to join an expert team of ASIC specialists. Hybrid working is available.

We have had the pleasure of supporting this leading fabless Semiconductor company over the past two decades in their recruitment of talented chip professionals. They now have a need for a CAD PDK Engineer to join their team in Sheffield; with this role working 2 days a week in the office is a possibility.

Working on a wide variety of interesting and diverse projects, the successful CAD PDK Engineer will be responsible for:

• PDK installation, configuration and maintenance
• Physical IP library installation, configuration and maintenance
• o Standard cells, IOs, memories etc.
• CAD tool installation, configuration and maintenance
• Supporting the IC design engineering teams on day-to-day activities relating to CAD provision
• Working with IC design engineering teams to develop methodology improvements
• Direct technical interfacing with external foundries and CAD tool vendors

Requirements include:

• Previous experience working as a CAD Engineer, with a sound understanding of analog IC development
• Good knowledge of the appropriate IC design tools and process design kits for silicon chip design
• Cadence Virtuoso know-how
• Scripting experience in Linux/unix, python, Skill, TCL or other
