Principal Designer Job in Greater Manchester

Join an award-winning RIBA chartered practice in Greater Manchester as a Principal Designer. This role offers a salary of up to £50,000 + flexible hours and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of Principal Designer duties across a wide range of projects.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the discharge of Principal Designer duties across multiple projects
• Advise internal teams and clients on health and safety and risk management
• Assist with compliance under CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act
• Coordinate pre-construction information and maintain QA documentation
• Attend project meetings and carry out site visits
• Work collaboratively with the internal PD team and contribute to training initiatives
• Support the development of tools and procedures to embed best practice

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience delivering or supporting Principal Designer duties under CDM
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its practical application
• Previous experience in a design, project management, building control or H&S role
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance requirements
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS Membership or similar qualification preferred
