An established Medical Device Manufacturing company based in Abingdon are looking for an Assembly Technician to join the team. They are looking for candidates with experience in the medical device manufacturing industry, preferably in the assembly of MRI Magnets. The role is very much a hands-on role where the product is being constructed and tested for use in MRI systems.

They are looking for applicants with knowledge of assembly and testing processes; soldering and jointing experience would be an advantage and MIG/TIG Welding experience would also be seen as an advantage.

Essential:
  • Ability to follow Engineering Drawings and work instructions
  • Experience in dimension and electrical measurements and recording results
  • Previous use of jigs and fixtures, hydraulic tools, hand tools, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors
  • Previous experience of using electrical test equipment like Multimeters, breakdown testers and power supply units

The salary on offer is £31,000 - £40,000 (DOE). Location – Abingdon. The working hours are: Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4.15 pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch, Friday – 7.45 – 1.15 pm with no lunch break.
