What You Will Do:

– Dive deep into the technology and commercial use case of the platform, the company’s flagship product, to understand its application in the industry.

– Collaborate with a renowned academic partner, to research and implement Explainable AI for enhancing platform functionality.

– Integrate and refine AI models within the platform, ensuring they meet research and commercial needs.

– Deliver on key R&D milestones, contributing to the application of AI in addressing the challenges of laying hen farming.

– Work alongside a global team to explore wider AI applications in building farm-led solutions for the food system.

– Communicate progress and findings to stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in multi-partner R&D workstreams.

What You Will Bring:

– A PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, OR a Master’s degree coupled with real-world machine learning application experience.

– Proficiency in software engineering, with robust coding skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.

– A track record of developing and delivering machine learning-based solutions that address customer needs.

– Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information with clarity and engaging with research to gain domain-specific knowledge.

– An interest in farming, animal health, welfare, or sustainability is highly desirable.
