We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised event manager in London to execute a first-of-its-kind career/job fair with workshops, entertainment and networking activities, and we need someone who thrives on bringing big visions to life.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full project lifecycle: planning, coordination, execution and wrap-up.
- Oversee all event logistics, including venue layout, health & safety, crowd control, and staffing.
- Secure licences and permits (e.g. TENS, PLI, music, fire safety, security) and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Manage supplier bookings, contracts, and communications.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive Red Book of vendors and contacts (AV, security, tech, catering, staff, etc.).
- Create detailed production schedules and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
- Manage budgeting, invoice processing, and cost reporting.
- Collaborate with AV/tech partners to deliver seamless sound, lighting, visuals, and presentation setups.
- Oversee equipment setup, rehearsals, and live technical operations on the day.
- Troubleshoot any issues on-site to ensure smooth delivery.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders and crew.
- Brief and manage support staff, suppliers, and freelance event crew.
- Provide calm, hands-on support during event build, execution, and breakdown.
- Conduct debriefs, gather feedback, and generate post-event reports.
- Share learnings and recommendations to inform future projects.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing large-scale events in the UK.
- Deep understanding of event licensing, permits, and health & safety protocols.
- Proven ability to handle AV/technical production requirements.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confident managing multiple suppliers and teams under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs.
