About the job:

We are looking for a forward-thinking, empathetic and experienced technical leader with a background in strongly typed backend programming skills and an interest to work with GoLang based Microservices.

You’ll be one of the 5 other tech leads in the business, leading a small team of 4 senior software engineers working super collaboratively with them in a highly autonomous environment.

They are heavily DevOps oriented, so we are looking for skills and experience within CI/CD and ideally some Terraform and Kubernetes.

You’ll be joining a team of innovators, who love to build things and aren’t afraid to fail, learn and try again. Each sprint, you’ll spend a day together dedicated to learning and trying out new things.

On top of this, you’ll be an advocate in the team and leading from the front in terms of best engineering practices and principles. Ensuring your team are following these and delivering what they need to, will be your responsibility as the Tech Lead.

Skills & Experience Needed:

  • At least 3+ years’ experience of leadership/line managing/coaching/mentoring
  • Senior/lead level software engineering experience with a strongly typed backend programming language (e.g. Java, GoLang, Python, Node.js) and the interest to work with GoLang
  • Experience working with Scalable software and Microservices
  • Comfortable working in a full stack environment
  • Experienced working within a DevOps oriented environment (CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes)
  • Comfortable working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
