We're seeking a Quality Assurance Reviewer for the Internal Audit Department of a City-based bank. This role provides independent assurance to General Managers and Audit Committees on the quality of Internal Audit work across the Bank.

4 month Contract (Maternity leave cover)

Location: City of London

Daily rate: £550 - £600 umbrella only

Hybrid working: 2 to 3 days in the office

Supporting a team of 68 audit staff across EMEA, the Quality Assurance Reviewer is expected to conduct full QA review on selected sample of audit reports or on key themes across a sample or full population of audit reports each quarter.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely QA reviews in line with EMEA audit methodology, IIA expectations, and standards.
  • Determine quarterly QA review themes.
  • Conduct QA reviews per the Audit Manual.
  • Agree on QA findings with relevant AIC/Audit Partner.
  • Provide quarterly QA process summary reports.
  • Identify and communicate training needs.
  • Provide methodology specific training where required.
  • Advise the team on inflight assignments when performing live QA.
  • Recommend QA process enhancements for continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience required:
  • A detailed knowledge of Internal Audit Policies and Procedures, as per industry standards.
  • Knowledge of the Global Standards and Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Experience of working on QA testing within an Audit Department.
  • Attention to detail. The confirmation of factual accuracy when performing the QA review and preparing Management Information is essential.
  • Educated to degree standard and the holder of a professional qualification. ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent desirable.
  • Previous internal audit/credit review experience is required to demonstrate a track record in effective QA audit delivery.
