FLT Counterbalance Driver

Job description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled FLT Driver / Yardman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our yard operations, ensuring that materials are handled properly and equipment is in good working order. Duties Operate forklifts and other machinery to load and unload materials safely. Perform routine equipment repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. Manage materials handling processes within the yard, including sorting and organising inventory. Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment. Requirements A valid Counterbalance Licence. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse operations is essential. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with basic maths skills for accurate inventory tracking. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
