We are recruiting experienced FLT Drivers to join a major automotive plant in the North Birmingham area, easily accessible from Hockley, Aston, Perry Barr and Central.
This is a market leading logistics company within the UK. All applicants for this role MUST hold experience as a FLT Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi driver with 12 months minimum MHE experience.
The company are looking to offer long-term positions within a dynamic manufacturing environment, with free parking and good local amenities.
Your duties will often be carried out in narrow gangways, working alongside a busy team of Assembly Operatives, Machinists and Technicians. You must therefore have the confidence to manoeuvre a range of different product types (i.e., stillages, pallets, cages) using long mast reach forks.
Your tasks will not be limited to those of a Driver - you will be expected to help with 'off-truck' duties including material handling and helping to load machine lines as well as cleaning dunnage and keeping the factory in line.
To be successful for this position, candidates must bring the following attributes:
- In date FLT Bendi licence (must be within 3 years of issue)
- In date FLT Counterbalance licence (must be within 3 years of issue)
- In date FLT Reach licence (must be within 3 years of issue)
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Duties involve regular and repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
- Happy to work on and off the truck
