A brilliant secondary school in Richmond is offering an exciting opportunity for a History Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Humanities department. This History Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong academic skills, an interest in education, and a desire to gain paid classroom experience before teacher training.
As a History Graduate Teaching Assistant, youll support pupils in KS3 and KS4 History lessons, help with resources and revision, and lead small-group interventions. The History Graduate Teaching Assistant will also work across subjects like RE and Geography, giving you a broad humanities experience.
Youll work with experienced teachers who are happy to guide and mentor you throughout the year.
History Graduate Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support and note-taking for students
• Assist with lesson preparation and homework clubs
• Lead small group history or exam skills sessions
• Help pupils develop critical thinking and essay writing

• A History degree (2:1 or above) from a top UK university
• A keen interest in education or teaching
