The Company
This established brand is known for their exceptional food and drink offerings across their continually growing store portfolio in the UK and abroad.
They pride themselves on their ethical, sustainable sourcing as well as making a positive social and environmental impact. Their brand spans the high-streets, travel outlets and the retail shelves.
With the acquisition of new stores and brands, they are looking for a dedicated and capable Technical Manager to ensure a seamless integration. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to become a permanent role.
The Role
You’ll be spearheading a transformational project and lead the integration of all three brand’s technical, quality and food safety policies, procedures and SOP’s.
This will involve auditing, analysing and assessing the existing food safety policies in order to design and implement new procedures and policies to align all the stores. Along with collaborating with relevant stakeholders, you will also work with external bodies and local authorities to understand and promote a business wide food safety culture.
You’ll then be training store managers and teams on new policies, ensuring changes are understood, implemented and the store teams know their role in assuring compliance.
You will also implement an aligned supplier auditing process in order to enhance the sourcing policy, enabling the onboarding of more artisinal / up-and-coming suppliers which in turn would allow for more agile NPD / more frequent menu changes.
The Person
We’re looking for a confident, experienced and poised Technical Manager who has gained a wealth of experience, covering technical, quality, auditing, food safety, SOP’s and policy writing. This must be from within a QSR/ casual dining/ coffee shop environment where you also understand how to successfully implement change.
You’ll need exceptional communication skills, with the clarity and influence to inform at all levels. Previous experience of training managers on new policies and SOP’s is essential.
You’ll also have a comprehensive understanding of how to support product development teams, helping them to launch products with ease, and pace.
If you’re a tenacious, dynamic and switched-on technical manager with a solution driven mindset, and the fortitude to navigate food safety policy and procedures, then this newly created role could be just the ticket. Apply now, or call Dhrutee on 07700 137 110 for more info!
