GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a successful and highly recognisable Logistics company located in Redditch. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm working 40 hours a week. You will be offered a highly competitive Salary of up to £50,000 per annum, which is demonstrable with previous, relevant experience, plus additional company benefits including car allowance.
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Sales Manager to identify and engage potential customers within the ecommerce and fulfilment industry. The ideal candidate will leverage their sales expertise, industry knowledge, and available tools to promote and sell the client’s services and solutions. Sales should be of a high standard—addressing customer needs effectively while ensuring profitability for the client. The Commercial Sales Manager will also play a key role in maintaining customer relationships throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition before handing them over to the Account Management team.
Sales Manager main duties:
- Drive business growth through sales of the client’s products, services, and solutions to new customers.
- Generate new leads, maintain a strong sales pipeline, and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Promote ecommerce and fulfilment services across the wider industry.
- Prioritise customer needs, delivering high-quality service and building lasting relationships.
- Visit potential customers to present and promote the client’s offerings effectively.
- Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Coordinate sales efforts with marketing initiatives to maximise impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and KPI performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer businesses, identifying further opportunities and market trends.
- Identify and promote cross-functional product and service opportunities.
- Support onboarding of new customers in collaboration with operations and project teams.
- Work with Account Managers to transition customers into portfolio management seamlessly.
Sales Manager desired skills and experience:
- Proven and successful track record of selling ecommerce & fulfillment - B2B - B2C.
- Minimum 5 years within ecommerce, fulfillment and express industry.
- Proven ability of generating new business opportunities within the ecommerce marketplace through increased engagement and identifying opportunities.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce collaboratively across functions to achieve success.
- Experience of working within a fast paced, high growth express environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
