Reporting to the QA Lead, the QA Analyst will be part of the IT quality assurance team responsible for ensuring the quality of our systems. They will be responsible for testing new and changed features and functions of internal and external facing systems, websites and mobile apps, following test best practice. To deliver this, they will work closely with product owners, developers and other QA analysts to ensure all software meets required acceptance criteria, and any issues are identified and resolved.
This role will require a strong understanding of testing methodologies, risk management and quality assurance processes. Your strategic oversight will ensure that all test related activities are managed and delivered on time and within budget while integrating the enterprise test strategy into the technology estate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and Maintaining Test Automation suites and pipelines
- Ensure effective stakeholder relationships are maintained, ensuring reporting and updates are provided on progress and any issues raised.
- Deliver all required test tasks for allocated systems and ensure product quality meets agreed requirements.
- Create defect records for all issues found during testing and ensure they are tracked and progressed until resolved.
- Review user stories and requirements to ensure that acceptance criteria are testable and unambiguous
- Extract test cases from story acceptance criteria
- Liaise with product owners, end users and developers
- Prepare, run and maintain test scripts
- Complete compatibility testing on multiple browsers and devices
- Run and maintain regression packs
- Raise, track and retest defects in Azure Dev Ops
- Define test tasks to ensure that acceptance criteria are met
- Review supplier test evidence against coverage and provide feedback
- Develop and maintain product knowledge for all systems allocated for project testing
- Build relationships with relevant business users and support teams, including product owners, subject matter experts and developers
- Keep up to date with testing best practice and guidelines
What We’re Looking for in You
- Experience with test automation tools, for example Cypress and Patrol
- Knowledge of test processes and methodologies
- Experience testing Finance systems including Oracle Fusion
- Experience testing HR Systems
- Experience working with HR Asset data
- Experience of testing web and enterprise applications
- API, Pact or Contract Testing Experience
- Ability to write clear test scripts
- Demonstrable ability to communicate clearly and concisely with end users and developers
- Knowledge and use of Azure Dev Ops or equivalent
