Position: Pharmacy Dispenser - GP Practice

Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Locum - ongoing

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (30-minute lunch break)

Start Date: June 2025

Rate: £15-£16 per hour

About the Role: You'll be joining a supportive primary care setting where your experience will contribute directly to patient safety and smooth running of the dispensary. Responsibilities include:

  • Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Assisting with the repeat prescription process
  • Delivering high-quality customer service to patients
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, pharmacists, and the wider team

Candidate Requirements: To be suitable for this role, you must have:

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (mandatory)
  • Experience working within a GP Practice dispensary (required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • A professional and adaptable approach to patient-facing care
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Duration: This is a full-time, long-term locum role running Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. The contract is ongoing from June, with possible extension depending on service needs.
