Are you an experienced Structural Design Engineer looking to work on some of the UK’s most technically challenging steel structures? This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market leader in structural steel with over 50 years of expertise and execution class 4 accreditation, enabling delivery of some of the most complex and prestigious projects in the UK.

The successful Senior Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading the structural design of steel frames, connections, and associated temporary works.
- Producing both manual and software-based structural calculations using a variety of tools.
- Managing projects independently or within a collaborative design team, reporting into the Head of Design.
- Attending client, architect, and subcontractor meetings to coordinate design requirements and resolve technical queries.
- Ensuring designs meet all relevant UK and European codes and standards, while staying within design budgets and deadlines.
- Supporting the training and development of Graduate Engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department.
The successful Senior Structural Design Engineer will need:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the structural steel industry, ideally within a UK-based fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in structural steel frame and connection design, with hands-on experience using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, MasterSeries, S-Frame, Idea Statica, and cold rolled design packages.
- A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally on the path to incorporated or chartered status.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and drive design coordination across stakeholders.
- Experience in temporary works design would be an advantage.
