Job Description: Project Manager - (EUI Network Modernisation Programme) / Transformation - Banking Client
Rate: £600 - £800 per day Inside or IR35
Hybrid: 8 days onsite per month
Role Description:
- Client Delivery: Define and implement client delivery journey and supporting framework (key phases, deliverables, roles & responsibilities). Create standard framework that can be leveraged across wider Transformation future service rollouts and planning. Work with Product, IT and BAs to define client testing and migration strategy, planning and framework, provide advisory where required. Provide project management co-ordination and structure to ensure key external deliverables are being completed and shared on time with clients. Establish business readiness frameworks (client and internal), manage process and co-ordinate activities to track progress with the relevant teams (Commercial, Product, IT). Implementation management - co-ordination across the readiness framework to the point of client test readiness. Oversight of client delivery function from testing start to switch over to production for clients.
- Market Engagement: Own client engagement planning and co-ordination of activities with IT, Product and Commercial. Define content plan and key external deliverables for clients. Representing the Project Team to external clients in relation to project roadmaps, controls and readiness planning. Oversee Network Service Provider engagement, define and track delivery plans and ongoing activity co-ordination in preparation for testing and migration.
- Target Operating Model Implementation: Advise and support client delivery function design and supporting process. Oversight of TOM design and implementation process, roadmap and tracking within e2e plan.
- Project Management & Governance: Ensure appropriate governance in line with the client delivery journey, appropriate stage gate management and working groups to oversee activity and progress. ESA IT delivery oversight and alignment across the end-to-end plan. Ensure appropriate management of financials, resources, key risks, issues and dependencies. Own end-to-end plan, track regular activity, provide escalation path and manage change control as required. Manage BoE non-objection submission process and co-ordination of material preparation.
- Stakeholder Management: Build long term relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, colleagues across EUI, ESA and EUI's regulator. Can interact with stakeholders of all levels across the Group on programme/project budget, scope, timing, resourcing and prioritisation on both technical and commercial subjects. Develops and maintains a positive, highly collaborative, and effective working relationship with Group counterparts.
Core Competencies:
- Education & Experience: At least 8 years project management experience within business transformation context, involving both business and IT related change. Experience with rolling out network-based solutions to large financial institutions in a regulated environment. Recognised Project and/or Programme Management certification (Prince II, APMP, MSP, Prince II Agile, PMI ACP). Proven track record of working within the financial services industry leading complex Business and/or IT Transformation programmes in a regulated environment. Experience working with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project methodologies. Solid experience in the preparation and management of project budgets, including forecasting. Skilled in constructive challenge and data accuracy. Experience of dealing with outsourced suppliers and 3rd parties. Experience of working with senior stakeholders required. Proven track record of designing/implementing/managing programmes delivering at scale business and technology change. Can demonstrate strong planning skills, can multitask, and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills including the ability to manage people across a matrixed structure across geographical locations. Leads by example and sets high standards and communicates expectation of high achievement to others. Strong influencing skills to drive projects and programmes. Ability to challenge and change behaviours and attitudes of peer managers. An ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff through living the Company values.
