Randstad is seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Engineer to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring projects are set up for success from the outset, focusing on accurate setting out, quality control, and proactive risk management. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely project set-up, including establishing levels, survey control, and detailed works.
- Maintaining comprehensive records that meet organizational and legal standards.
- Proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation.
- Resource management and procurement scheduling.
- Production of ITPs, task briefings, and look-ahead schedules.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Proficiency with robotic total stations or EDM instruments.
- Civil engineering degree/HNC (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
- Temporary works coordination.
- CSCS card.
- Cable avoidance and first aid training.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications.
