An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Operator to join a busy industrial site in the Widnes area on a temporary basis. This role supports the production department in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.

Our client is looking for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, often in physically demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks (FLT)
  • Offloading chemicals into drums, IBCs and bulk tankers
  • Sampling and preparing chemical samples for analysis
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management
  • Maintaining high standards of site housekeeping
  • General yard duties and support to the production team
Essential Requirements:
  • Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a chemical or process plant environment
  • Confident and competent in chemical handling procedures
  • Strong understanding of health & safety protocols and PPE usage
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A reliable, team-focused approach with a strong work ethic
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with inventory or materials management systems
  • Experience with chemical sampling and documentation processes
