An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Operator to join a busy industrial site in the Widnes area on a temporary basis. This role supports the production department in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.
Our client is looking for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, often in physically demanding conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks (FLT)
- Offloading chemicals into drums, IBCs and bulk tankers
- Sampling and preparing chemical samples for analysis
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management
- Maintaining high standards of site housekeeping
- General yard duties and support to the production team
- Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a chemical or process plant environment
- Confident and competent in chemical handling procedures
- Strong understanding of health & safety protocols and PPE usage
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A reliable, team-focused approach with a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with inventory or materials management systems
- Experience with chemical sampling and documentation processes
