Set in a prestigious Chelsea location, Café Linea is a new and exciting opening that celebrates seasonal produce and precision-led, modern dining with a less is more ethos. We are building a talented and passionate team for this unique concept, and we are currently looking for a Senior Waiter who thrives on exceptional service, is confident managing a section and team, and has a genuine love for hospitality.
As Senior Waiter at Café Linea, you will take ownership of the guest journey in your section and lead by example to deliver a warm, confident, and seamless service experience. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and wider team, you'll play a key part in setting the tone for service, supporting training, and helping refine day-to-day operations as we open and grow. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent knowledge of food and wine, attention to detail, and the ability to support and inspire the team on the floor.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional service and a warm, personalised experience to every guest.
- Build rapport with regulars and new guests, remembering preferences and creating lasting impressions.
- Handle guest feedback confidently, resolving issues professionally and escalating when needed.
- Service & Team Leadership
- Lead the sequence of service in your section, ensuring consistency and pace.
- Support the floor team during service and guide junior team members as needed.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Operational Support
- Participate in daily briefings, helping to communicate specials, service notes, and floor allocations.
- Maintain cleanliness, mise en place, and presentation standards throughout service.
- Assist in training new team members and act as a mentor on the floor.
- Wine & Food Knowledge
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the food menu, daily specials, and wine list.
- Confidently guide guests through wine pairings and make informed recommendations.
- Assist with blind tastings, menu changes, and service training as needed.
- Experienced in high-end or quality-driven hospitality environments.
