Bottling staff required on a temporary basis to support the bottling processes at a gorgeous vineyard located in Kent.
Bottling is a complex and delicate step of the winemaking process that requires a lot of focus. Maintaining wine quality during bottling, storage and shipping is one of the highest priorities. Bottling is described as the last phase in the winemaking process.
This role will involve following a smooth system, starting with feeding bottles through a machine. The machine will then fill and cork the bottles, labels will be put onto the bottles, and finally, the bottles will go through a strict quality control process, checking the end result for damages or slight imperfections.
Your main role will involve feeding the bottles through the machine, which can be quite repetitive but does require a high level of concentration. Another role will be at the other end of the process, involving taking the bottles off the machine and placing them into crates ready for storage/sales.
This role does involve repetitive movements and some heavy lifting, as well as standing for long periods of time.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm, for 5.5 weeks at £12.21 per hour. Start Date: Monday 30th June 2025 until 6th August 2025 (approx. 5.5 weeks work).
Breaks include a 15-minute paid break in the morning, a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and a 15-minute paid break in the afternoon. The breaks are not at set times and will be worked around the bottling line to minimise impact so that the line can continue to flow throughout the whole day.
This is a temporary role, but we would require 100% commitment for the 4-week period. Reliability and punctuality are essential as this work is time-sensitive and must be completed within the specified time frame.
Dress Code: Steel-toed capped boots are required on site. Long sleeve top and trousers are required due to health and safety reasons. A high vis will be supplied to you, which must be worn on site, and goggles will also be supplied.
