Bright Sprout is on the lookout for a skilled and creative Freelance Social Media Manager to support our growing roster of clients. We’re a close-knit crew of three and we’ve spent the last four years helping local and national brands punch above their weight through intelligent, honest, digital marketing. We’re curious and creative problem-solvers who love learning, experimenting, and winning alongside our clients.
Who we are
We’re a small agency with big ambition - not to become the biggest, but to be the most trusted partner to the clients we work with. Our culture is relaxed, supportive, and down-to-earth. We believe in doing business the right way - with people and planet in mind, not just profit. That means transparency, fairness, flexibility and always trying to be a little bit better, both professionally and ethically.
The role
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social - someone who’s as confident creating reels as they are shaping content strategies. You’ll be taking the lead on developing social strategies for our clients (and sometimes for ourselves), crafting scroll-stopping content and engaging with online communities.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute social strategies tailored to each client’s goals, brand and stage of growth
- Keeping tabs on platform updates, trends, memes, and applying them smartly
- Create outstanding content that is on-brand; including captions, graphics and short-form videos
- Manage client social accounts; including posing, scheduling and engaging across different platforms
- Conduct research, competitor analysis, and complete content audits
- Remain ahead of industry trends and algorithm updates, translating changes into opportunities for our clients
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years of dedicated, hands-on social media management experience across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn - ideally in both agency and in-house settings
- A strong grasp of both the technical and creative sides of social media, with experience working on local and national brands
- High level of expertise with tools like social scheduling platforms, Canva, CapCut/Edits and Meta Business Suite
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising directly with clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with online communities
- Proven experience growing social accounts, increasing followers, and building active communities
- Creative, collaborative, and proactive
- A genuine passion for all things social media
If this sounds like the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a short note on why this role stood out to you to kath@brightsprout.co.uk.
