The Opportunity: Laboratory Technician – Avantor, Reading (Permanent, Full-Time) Avantor is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician, named a \”Bonding Materials Scientist\”to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at our Reading site . About the Role As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for Bonded Silica batch production & testing , which includes: Conducting synthesis reactions to bond various stationary phases onto different media – a process that can take up to 8 days. Assembling chromatography columns, performing tests, and reporting results and observations to the Manager for batch approval. Utilizing safety and quality systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, and batch pass rates. The Team You\’ll be part of a close-knit team of three, working in a collaborative environment, where a Professor of Silica Science at the Open University works under the same manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team with over 30 years of expertise in chromatography.
